Our Veterinary Team
Amy Carney, DVM
Dr. Holstein Carney grew up in Baltimore. She received her veterinary degree from the Ohio State University, College of Veterinary Medicine. After working in both private practice and at the local emergency hospital, she opened her own veterinary clinic. It was during the years of ownership she became the volunteer veterinarian for a large wildlife sanctuary where she treated everything from baby squirrels to eagles.
She joined Noah's Ark as an associate veterinarian in 2008.
Over the years, her special love for cats has been evident. Since receiving her veterinary degree, she has assisted local cat rescue and sanctuary organizations, fulfilling what has become a passion. She is also a strong advocate of altering pets as there are never enough homes to meet the growing population in shelters. Through working diligently with animal advocate groups and the Maryland legislature, the first state Spay/Neuter program was created. Dr. Holstein Carney currently sits on the Maryland Department of Agriculture Spay/Neuter board.
At home, she enjoys visits from her grown daughters, Danica and Haley. Redmond-G-Dog, and kitties Peter Pan, Lulu and Buffa-cat share a home with their ‘mom’. When Dr. Holstein Carney can sneak away, she engages in her other passion - catch-and-release fly fishing.
Tiffany Robertson, DVM
Originally from California, Tiffany completed her veterinary education at Colorado State University. After graduating from veterinary school, she spent a few years working in private practice and enjoying everything Denver had to offer. Once the decision was made to continue her path across the U.S., she moved to Maryland and started working at Noah's Ark in May of 2015. Dr. Robertson truly loves private practice and values her role as advocate and caretaker of your voiceless family members.
When she isn't working, you will most likely be able to find her at a sporting event (HTTR!), enjoying time with friends and family, or at home relaxing with four of the most important men in her life: Ian, her fiancé, and their three dogs: Boone (Shepherd Mix), Remi (American Pit Bull Terrier Mix) and Finn (Chihuahua). Her other interests include camping, off-roading, and cooking.
Kimberly Gostyla, DVM
Dr. Gostyla graduated from Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine in May 2005 with a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine and a Certificate in International Veterinary Medicine. She has practiced small animal medicine in Anne Arundel and Howard counties since. She has a special interest in surgery and ultrasonography, and cherishes her client/patient relationships!
Dr Gostyla lives in Annapolis with her husband, Justin, and her son Wyatt. She currently has a Great Dane, Enzo, and a cat, Jasmine - both of whom were rescued. She loves to be outside and near the water. She is also a fan of the Boston Red Sox and Washington Redskins.
In her spare time, Dr. Gostyla is actively involved with volunteer work at the Chesapeake Bay Environmental Center in Grasonville and is currently enrolled in a class to become a Maryland Master Naturalist. She is also actively involved with Oyster Gardening on the Severn River.
